CANADA DAY WALK EVENT

The Canada Day Walk Event, downtown Sydney.

Todays walk was a repeat of the route that we followed over ten years ago.

There are only six original members who participated in the Sydney Walk Event (Anne's Walk) from 10 years ago in 1987:
In the front row (R to L) are members who were on that first walk event, Rollie Coombes, Anne Irons, Phil Irons & Carmel Coffin, Carol Butts & Nip Hillier.

MABOU RAIL TRAIL SUNDAY 24 JUNE 2007

Ann Coombes at the front entrance of "The Mother Of Sorrows Pioneer Shrine" in Mabou before the start of the 10k walk along the Mabou Rail Trail.






The Island Hoppers stop for a short break along the Mabou Trail to take in the view from one of the many bridges that span the "Mull River".

NATIONAL WALKING WEEKEND

The Ladies of The Cape Breton Island Hoppers are ready to take on the North Baddeck River Trail to Uisge Ban Falls. Rain gears seems to be in fashion when we do the annual walk to the falls.

THE JOY OF WALKING

The Walk at Paquette Lake to Glasgow Lake started off Dark and Gloomy with the possibility of rain threatening us all the way but Wendy's smile I'm sure kept the Gloomy rain clouds away!

At the 5k or halfway point the view of Glasgow Lake is picture perfect on a grey cool day.
