VIEWS ALONG THE CEILIDH/TRANS CANADA TRAIL

The Ceilidh Trails stretches along the west coast of Cape Breton Island parallel to Highway 19.

These are photos taken Friday 01 May 2009. This is a pre-check of the Start Point/the trail for the 42 Km Marathon and the venue that will host our evening dinner event after the walk.

To the right is the typical path that the walkers will be traveling on along the Ceilidh Trail, this is the bridge located across OG Brook. The sign says "Don't drink the Water".

FIRST GROUP WALK EVENT 2009

MARCH 15th, 2009 - The Ides of March proved to be a good omen and a wonderful day of walking for the CBIH, sunny weather and lots of smiling faces as we got together to start off what may well prove to be a great year for "Walking for Fun, Fitness and Friendship!

George and LuAnn McConnell are from Joplin, Missouri; this is their 7th year attending Celtic Colours International Music Festival. 2008 has been their first Celtic Walks, they have participated in the CBIH Coxheath Hills walk on Saturday 11 Oct and have now completed the East Bay Hills, Sunday 12 Oct.
